Waking Up the Wintering Butterflies
At first, they seem like nothing more than dry, curled leaves clinging to the attic beams. But then, as the spring sun warms them, their husky brown wings unfold, revealing flashes of fiery orange and deep indigo. And just like that, as if by magic, they come alive—fluttering out the window, waking from their long winter sleep to greet the world once more.
