Our family
-
Freya
The mother, a skilled chef in her professional life, she embraces the simple joy of being an eager eater at home. What others term as witchery, she just understands as motherhood – a fine blend of intuition, love, and a touch of magic. Whether bathing in the sun or the water, or venturing out on a mountain bike, she embodies the spirit of a life lived in harmony with nature.
-
Ronia
The creative sister, a fierce and loyal friend to all those lucky enough to be in her circle. Her hatred of nettles is as legendary as her love for cycling, often found pedaling her way to the neighbor's daughters for an afternoon of companionship and play.
-
Bear
The tumbling little brother, always sporting a new scratch or two from his daring adventures. With a diet seemingly consisting of strawberries and the occasional snail, Bear is a force of nature in his own right. His name harks back to the Old Norse, meaning eagle-bear. But life had its own plans, and the bear side of him was more dominant.
-
Halfdan
The father, a philosopher who finds his joy in the simple pleasure of chopping wood and the quiet solitude of staying home as much as possible. He lights as many bonfires as necessary, symbolic of his warmth, guidance, and the light he brings into the lives of his family.
-
Murkla
The black stray with white socks who graced our family with her presence, Murkla looks grumpy but is anything but silent. Her meows fill the air as she engages in what can only be termed 'feline discussions' about the state of the world—or at least the state of her food bowl. Don't be fooled by her stern expression; she has her moments of grace and softness. Her long, luxurious coat often serves as a welcome contrast to her seemingly perpetual state of discontent. Yet, she's a purr machine whenever affection comes her way, proving that even the grumpiest among us need love.
-
Tiger
This orange fluff ball is large and in charge, yet his laziness is almost as legendary as his size. Tiger's luxurious long hair would make any pet-owner proud, though he'd rather lay about than prance around showing it off. Known for his rather unconventional eating habits, Tiger often opts to use his paws to eat, bringing a sense of elegance to an otherwise slothful demeanor. His idea of a good day involves multiple naps, punctuated by short bursts of interest in the goings-on around him—usually revolving around food or a particularly inviting patch of sunlight. - Or perhaps one of our cozy pillows..
