Homemade Mini Peppermint Patties

Dive into the delights of homemade candy with our rustic mini and micro peppermint patties. Starting with our extracted oil and peppermint water, we'll walk you through the process of creating these delightful treats.

Begin with fine sugar - you can make it yourself by processing regular sugar in a blender until it reaches a powdery consistency or use pre-made powdered sugar. From here, mix in drops of your own homemade peppermint oil and a scoop of floral water, blending it into a thick, sugar-peppermint dough.

The blending process will heat the mixture slightly, allowing the sugar to partially dissolve.

Once the dough is ready, work quickly to form it into small balls, icebergs, patties, or whatever shape delights you the most. These need to be formed while the dough is still warm as it will stiffen once it cools down. Leave your formed candies to dry overnight.

After drying, coat your peppermint pieces with tempered chocolate. We recommend using sugar as a base for drying the chocolate-coated peppermint patties to prevent sticking.

There's something uniquely satisfying about savoring candies infused with flavors you've foraged yourself. While the cocoa and sugar might not be from our garden, the essential oil certainly is. Each bite is a testament to the labor of love that went into their creation.
